Gargoyle

I loved the Disney show Gargoyles growing up. I thought it was deep and complex for a kids show. Also, Keith David doing the voice was awesome.

Here’s the prompt list from the 2022 Inktober I did these prompts for.

Scared

This one is very abstract and also very simple. I think it turned out okay. The person looks more angry than scared.

Worried

This is drawn from a very famous photograph of a mother during the Great Depression living in a Hooverville. I always thought it was the quintessential image of worry.

I only did 2 prompts for this month, so I won’t even embarrass myself by posting the prompt list to show all the ones I missed.

I used the concentric circles ruler in CSP for the ellipses in this room as well as the room layout. I’m still trying to get used to the tool here.

The beach turned out good in this one. The figure is okay.

Broken

I find something beautiful about broken pottery. My mom told me it’s lucky to keep broken pottery in your garden so I do.

Like food, rocks are hard to draw.

Lost

I never watched the show Lost when it was on (or after it was canceled) but I thought this was an interesting group shot.

Hidden

I like the idea of the kids thinking they’re hiding because they can’t see.

Sad

I used the janky brushes on this a little and some speckle brushes in the flowers.
