This was the detective’s style, more like Sin City, stark black and white.

This was supposed to feel super climatic but I think ended up feeling stunted.

I tried to draw her really intense here.

I do like the blackness of her hair in the last panels. I need to do that more.

I guess I was channeling a Frank Miller here or something because of the roughness of the art.

Looking back at these old pages I would redraw this story in a totally different way. I’m also rolling my eyes at the script.

So many close ups because those are quick to draw and I was rushing to make the deadline for this comic every week as well as the deadlines for No Stereotypes every week. Between the two comics I was delivering 5 pages of art a week for no page and my art stuck behind a paywall. The entire time I worked for moderntales.com I got 1 check for $100 because I asked for it because I couldn’t afford gas to get home from SDCC.
